Valentyn Gvozdiy, a graduate of Chernivtsi National University, is a practicing litigation attorney who also has an extensive legal expertise in tax matters. Mr. Gvozdiy is the chairman of the taxation committee of the Ukrainian Bar Association; he is also a member of the working group of the State Tax Administration of Ukraine, which is in the process of drafting a new Tax Code. Clients, partners and the legal community often look to Mr. Gvozdiy for leadership and advice as the leading expert in the field of taxation. Mr. Gvozdiy believes that a new Tax Code will make it easier and more cost effective for the firm’s clients as well as other local and foreign businesses to operate in Ukraine. According to the Yuridicheskaya Praktika and Yuridicheskaya Gazeta professional publications, Mr. Gvozdiy was named in the Top 5 taxation lawyers of Ukraine and was also named as one of the Top 100 most recommended lawyers of Ukraine for 2008.

Sergiy Oberkovych who received his Law degree from the National Taras Shevchenko University, Institute of International Relations in Kiev, Ukraine and an LLM in Comparative Legal Studies from The John Marshal Law School in Chicago, Illinois, has chosen to focus on the international arena. Mr. Oberkovych specializes in International Business Practice and leads his team of attorneys in Foreign Investments, Mergers and Acquisitions and International Business Law. He utilizes his legal practice and business knowledge acquired abroad to bring the firm on par with internationally acceptable standards of professionalism and firmly believes in the principle of continuous training, both in-house and external, which is mandatory for all members of Gvozdiy and Oberkovych. Mr. Oberkovych has been recognized by the Yuridicheskaya Praktika publication as one of top 5 Foreign Investment Specialists in Ukraine and as one of the Top 100 most recommended lawyers in Ukraine.
