Experienced Attorneys

While many of our associates start their careers at Gvozdiy & Oberkovych directly from law school, a large number of experienced attorneys join the firm after holding government positions, working at other law firms or in other companies. Depending on the specific needs of our office and practice areas, we hire accomplished attorneys who have varying levels of experience. For those interested in working for this dynamic law firm please apply directly to the HR manager (hr@gvozdiy.com). To consider an application, we require a current resume, three reference letters and law school transcript. Gvozdiy & Oberkovych provides a competitive salary and benefits package to all our attorneys.

For most experienced attorneys, the interview will consist of meeting with one or two partners in a specific area. Our partners are intricately involved in the interviewing process and take an active role in recruiting candidates. Such involvement ensures that we can quickly respond to candidates and offer positions to qualified applicants.

Law students:

We strongly encourage applications from all qualified law students. Students should forward their cover letters, resumes and transcripts to the HR manager (hr@gvozdiy.com). Applicants will be interviewed on a preliminary basis by one or more of our attorneys to determine eligibility for further consideration.

Students from other cities than Kiev who are invited to visit the firm are reimbursed for their travel expenses (or a proportionate share of expenses if they visit other firms on the same trip).

During your visit of the firm, you will meet both partners and associates from chosen practice areas. If you have a specific question or subject you would like to discuss, please let the HR manager know before we schedule your interviews.

Approximately one week after your interview, you will receive a letter informing you of the firm’s decision. If you do receive an offer, we will provide you with another opportunity to talk with attorneys here at the firm.

Staff Positions:

Support and administrative career opportunities at Gvozdiy & Oberkovych include positions in accounting, human resources, office services, information services, legal personnel, legal recruiting, library services, and marketing. These departments support the firm’s legal activities and also address key non–legal business operations.
